REISS WINOLD, Blackfeet Vintage Framed Prints, Native American Indian Art, Scalping Woman
This is SCALPING WOMAN, a reproduction from a series of Native American of paintings by F. Winold Reiss called Blackfeet Indians of Glacier National Park.
In advertising from 1920-1960. the Great Northern Railway collected and published this print and 23 others as part of a historical sketch of the tribe in 1947. This print measures approx. 12" by about 9" and is matted in a 13" x 16" frame which is in good condition.
Hallmark at bottom of picture: "From original portrait by Winold Reiss, New York, Copyright Great Northern Ry, Co, St. Paul."
