This is a brass and iron "buffalo hide" scale or "C" spring balance, manufactured by H.Boker, Germany
Also known as a Mancur Scale or buffalo hide scale, used during the 1800s by trappers and anyone else needing a portable scales to weigh heavy loads.
The crescent brass dial registers from 0 to 30 Kg on one side and from 10 to 300 Kg on the other side.
Measures: approx. 10 1/8" from ring to hook; scale diameter 4” x 3".
Note the twisted and split pointer allowing both sides of the scales to be read.
CONDITION: In good condition, consistent with its age normal and expected wear. Please review pictures as you will be getting item exactly as pictured.
